The story behind the name
From 1989 the company was called MVH Consulting AS, owned by the investment company MVH Holding AS. Over the years there were always one or more sister and subsidiary companies underneath, with various development projects.
As I approached 60, we made a plan to slow down towards retirement and merged the companies into one. The name no longer fitted. The business was not about consulting any more, but about something else: what we ourselves call the good life. Hence NiceLife.no.
The good life, for others too
We have had a fantastic life so far, and have no plans to change that. But we believe others should be able to share in the same, without having to buy a mountain cabin, a motorhome or a house in Spain. And even if we would like to, neither we nor our children and grandchildren manage to use everything all the time. So we rent out what we love, so that others can enjoy it too.
From one company to an incubator
Today NiceLife.no ENK is an incubator company. New initiatives start as offshoots inside the sole proprietorship, where they are built, tested and developed until they can stand on their own feet. Then they are spun off as independent companies. GoRabbit and Kuppvarsel are the first to follow that path, both within the next few months.
And that is why GoRabbit
The same principle lies behind GoRabbit. A small business should not have to spend its Sundays on marketing, and should have access to the same tools as the big players, without building a large organisation to do it.
